Let It Shine redux (Pre-order)
Vinyl + Digital + T-shirt + Bundle
Twenty years ago I was gearing up for an unforgettable bicycle/music tour around BC's Gulf Islands and Sunshine Coast. It was during this adventure that I received a pivotal call on my small, silver flip phone—battery barely clinging to life—while sheltered in a tent on a rain-soaked beach on Hornby Island. The call informed me that I would be flying to Toronto to sign a publishing deal with Sony/ATV and a record deal with Sony Music! This moment changed my life. I would go from two-wheeled troubadour to jet-setting world traveler almost overnight.
My major label debut was called Let It Shine, released on the Columbia Records imprint on Oct 12, 2004. Anybody remember it? It has songs like Lemon Meringue Pie, High School (aka High School Friend, I'll get to that story) and Fall For Anything.
To mark this big milestone, I'm excited to announce plans to re-record these songs in a stripped-down format, reflecting their original vibe when I first wrote them. This project will also include a couple unreleased songs. I'm calling it "Let It Shine Redux" and it will be released as a vinyl and digital LP. Pre-order your copy today, details below.
